DELHI UNIVERSITY’S ADMISSION PROCEDURE IS CRAP

July 16, 2008

Delhi University is a premier institute of Commerce, Arts & yet their admission procedure is crap. They take students on the basis of their mugging abilities (Marks in board exams). They must organize entrance exams to take only those students who have the required aptitude & ability.

If their admission procedure is right, plz tell me isn’t the percentage of students from IITs getting into top B-Schools & going abroad for further studies (after world-level exams) more than DU students? It certainly is…..the reason being that the officials of these colleges & universities used 2 be muggers. So they encourage mugging.

They’d say “So guyz & gals, welcome 2 our insti. We gotta show the world that we can store info in our minds a lot better than their database systems.”

The result – many dumbos get into good colleges & the innovative ones are left behind.

This system should end soon……..

If DU’s admission procedure is good, then y do finance companies like McKinsey, Goldman Sachs & Lehmann Brothers give whopping salaries to IITians & not DUites? The answer is quite simple, they need people with logic & IITians fill da slot.

In IITs,

McKinsey pays upto 1 crore per annum
Goldman Sach pays 40 LPA
Lehmann Brothers pays 32 LPA

Some old news to support my view – the packages differ now -
